The soundtrack of Prem Keetanu brings together an impressive lineup of composers, including Sachet–Parampara, Annkur R. Pathakk, Rahul Mishra, The Rish and Shashi Suman. The lyricists include Kunaal Vermaa, Sachin Urmtosh, Prince Dubey, Sandeep Singh Sardaraa and Meer. Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki and starring Veer Pahariya, Aafiya Sayed and Aparshakti Khurana, the film’s youthful romantic-comedy setting is reflected in an album that combines established playback singers with emerging musical voices.
The compositions move between upbeat, playful numbers and soulful romantic melodies. “Undi Bundi” brings a lively, quirky energy, while “Kaho Toh” offers a more traditional romantic sound. “Tu Mera Raiyyo” has a catchy, youthful quality, and “Ishq Ka Ghulaam” leans into an emotional, melodic style. The softer tracks, including “Haan Umr Bhar Ko” and “Teri Yaadein Mujhe,” add a reflective dimension. The variety is appealing, though the different composers give the album a somewhat uneven musical identity.
The vocal performances are a strong feature of the soundtrack. Armaan Malik brings warmth to “Kaho Toh,” while Sachet Tandon and Parampara Tandon deliver “Tu Mera Raiyyo” with an engaging romantic chemistry. B Praak and Sukriti Kakar give “Ishq Ka Ghulaam” emotional weight, and Jubin Nautiyal lends his familiar expressive style to “Haan Umr Bhar Ko.” Papon’s performance on “Teri Yaadein Mujhe” adds a soulful touch, while Shashi and Brijesh Shandilya bring playful energy to “Undi Bundi.”
Overall, Prem Keetanu is a mixed but enjoyable romantic soundtrack. It offers several appealing melodies and a strong collection of singers, but the shift between musical styles makes the album feel less cohesive than it could have been. The romantic songs are its strongest moments, while the lighter tracks add variety. Rating: 5/10.
