The soundtrack for Suresh Triveni’s dark crime-comedy Maa Behen (2026) is an experimental, genre-blending masterpiece that perfectly scores a chaotic story of feminine rebellion. Crafted primarily by composers Akashdeep Sengupta, Akshay & IP, and lyricist Shubham Shirule, mirrors Madhuri Dixit’s shift into a raw, unpredictable avatar by fusing traditional folk elements with brooding indie-pop and sharp hip-hop. Listeners are treated to an unconventional palette, from the unsettling, moody fusion of Neelkamal Singh’s “Kaari Kaari” (which also gets a gritty modern spin with “Kaari Kaari (Rap)” featuring Shia) to the liberation-themed anthem “Khol Pinjara” sung brilliantly by Pooja Tiwari.
