The soundtrack of Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar brings composer Rochak Kohli together with lyricists Raj Shekhar, Kumaar and Gurpreet Saini, alongside singers Jubin Nautiyal, Arijit Singh, Darshan Raval, Shreya Jain, Faheem Abdullah and Aditya Rikhari. Directed by Anuj Saini, the romantic film features an ensemble cast including Sparsh Walia and Alisha Chopra. The music sets the tone for a story exploring romance, friendship and the emotions that come with giving love another chance.
Compositionally, the album moves between soulful melodies, contemporary romantic arrangements and more playful, youthful sounds. Songs such as “Purane Din” tap into nostalgia, while “Jaane Kis Mod Pe” and “Chaand” lean into romantic introspection. The varied lyric-writing styles help the soundtrack move between memories, attraction and relationship complications without losing its accessible, melodic character.
The vocal performances are one of the album’s key strengths. Arijit Singh brings warmth and emotional depth to “Purane Din,” while Jubin Nautiyal lends his expressive style to “Pyaar Manga Hai Tumhi Se.” Darshan Raval and Shreya Jain add a conversational romantic quality to “Jaane Kis Mod Pe,” and Faheem Abdullah’s intimate delivery gives “Chaand” a reflective mood. Aditya Rikhari brings a youthful edge to “Saale Dil” and the unplugged version of “Chaand.”
Overall, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar is a satisfying romantic soundtrack with strong singers, tuneful compositions and a pleasing blend of nostalgia and modern pop sensibilities. While some songs follow familiar contemporary-romance patterns, the album’s melodic appeal and vocal variety make it an enjoyable listen. Rating: 8/10.
