The Haiwaan soundtrack brings together director Priyadarshan, lead actors Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, composer Pritam, and an impressive group of lyricists and singers. Pritam is the principal music director, while Javed Akhtar, IP Singh, Kumaar and Yatindra Mishra contribute lyrics across the four songs. The vocal lineup—Shaan, Vanika Nayak, Jonita Gandhi, Romy, Saaj Bhatt, Raghav Chaitanya and Sukhwinder Singh—gives the soundtrack a broad stylistic range that fits the film’s crime-thriller setting.

Pritam keeps the compositions relatively focused, moving between melodic pop, energetic Punjabi-influenced rhythms and a darker contemporary sound. “Mere Hero Hai Woh” has a warm, melodic character, while “Farratta” is the most overtly energetic track, using guitars and shehnai within its arrangement. “Main Toh Nahi Haiwaan” takes the soundtrack into a more intense and reflective space, while “Rangiyara” closes the album with a fuller, celebratory sound. The lyrics similarly move from the affectionate tone of Javed Akhtar’s “Mere Hero Hai Woh” to the energetic wordplay of IP Singh and the more serious writing of Kumaar and Yatindra Mishra.

The vocal performances provide much of the soundtrack’s variety. Shaan and Vanika Nayak bring a smooth, accessible quality to “Mere Hero Hai Woh,” while Jonita Gandhi, Romy and Saaj Bhatt give “Farratta” its energetic ensemble character. Raghav Chaitanya supplies the strongest dramatic vocal presence on “Main Toh Nahi Haiwaan,” delivering the song with a more restrained intensity. “Rangiyara” benefits from the contrasting voices of Shaan, Sukhwinder Singh and Romy, whose combined performance gives the closing track considerable energy.

Overall, Haiwaan is a polished but relatively compact soundtrack that offers four different musical moods without developing all of them to the same level. “Farratta” and “Rangiyara” provide the most immediate energy, while “Main Toh Nahi Haiwaan” offers a welcome darker contrast. Pritam’s production and the strong vocal lineup make the album easy to listen to, although the four-song format leaves limited space for a more expansive musical identity. Rating: 6/10.
