The Singh Is Kinng soundtrack brings together a creative team that matches the film’s larger-than-life comic energy. Director Anees Bazmee and lead actor Akshay Kumar are paired with composer Pritam, lyricist Mayur Puri, and an unusually broad vocal lineup including Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Neeraj Shridhar, Labh Janjua, Hard Kaur, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shreya Ghoshal, RDB, Snoop Dogg and Kumar himself. RDB’s contribution to the title track, featuring Snoop Dogg and Akshay Kumar, gives the album an additional international hip-hop dimension.
Pritam’s compositions are built around infectious hooks, Punjabi rhythms, pop melodies and dance-oriented arrangements. “Jee Karda,” “Bas Ek Kinng,” “Bhootni Ke” and “Talli Hua” embrace the album’s exuberant party character, while “Teri Ore” provides a smoother romantic contrast. Mayur Puri’s lyrics are playful, rhythmic and designed for instant recall, with “Bas Ek Kinng” and “Bhootni Ke” particularly suited to the film’s comic and celebratory tone. The title track stands apart through RDB’s Punjabi sound and its hip-hop collaboration with Snoop Dogg.
The vocal performances give the soundtrack much of its personality. Daler Mehndi brings his unmistakable exuberance to “Bhootni Ke,” while Mika Singh, Neeraj Shridhar, Hard Kaur and Ashish Pandit inject considerable energy into “Bas Ek Kinng.” Labh Janjua and Neeraj Shridhar work effectively together on “Talli Hua,” while Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shreya Ghoshal provide the album’s most soulful vocal pairing on “Teri Ore.” RDB, Snoop Dogg and Akshay Kumar make the title track deliberately distinctive, giving the soundtrack a memorable crossover moment.
Overall, Singh Is Kinng is an energetic and highly replayable soundtrack that balances Punjabi-inspired celebration, dance-pop, hip-hop and romance. Pritam’s catchy compositions, Mayur Puri’s accessible lyrics, the variety of vocal personalities and the title-track collaboration give the album a strong identity. The remix-heavy second half extends the party atmosphere without losing the personality of the original songs. Rating: 9/10.
