The Housefull (2010) soundtrack, crafted by the composer trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, is a highly entertaining, fast-paced commercial pop album that avoids taking itself too seriously. Built perfectly to complement Sajid Khan’s slapstick comedy, it trades deep emotional ballads for sheer, foot-tapping energy. Tracks like the breezy, accordion-tinged Oh Girl You’re Mine” and the club-friendly “Papa Jag Jayega” rely heavily on infectious synthetic beats. The album gains an extra edge by playing with retro nostalgia, featuring an amusingly eccentric comeback vocal from 1980s sensation Shabbir Kumar on “I Don’t Know What To Do” alongside the roaringly popular re-imagining of Amitabh Bachchan’s classic in “Aapka Kya Hoga (Dhanno)”. While it might not stand as a historical masterpiece, it serves as a fun, youth-oriented, and paisa-vasool addition to Bollywood’s masala dance-floor discography.
