The 2022 soundtrack for the horror-comedy Phone Bhoot is an eclectic, multi-composer compilation featuring a mix of peppy dance numbers, nostalgic themes, and melodic ballads. Put together by composers Tanishk BagchiRochak KohliMikey McCleary, and Roy, the album mirrors the film’s eccentric and quirky energy. The tracklist is headlined by the club-friendly hit “Kinna Sona”, which features a “haunting” but playful soundscape, and a high-energy Punjabi folk recreation of “Kaali Teri Gutt” that serves as a promotional dance anthem. Adding a layer of meta-humor and nostalgia, the album includes the “Phone Bhoot Theme” sung by veteran rapper Baba Sehgal. While “Jaau Jaan Se” offers a more traditional romantic respite, the overall soundtrack remains focused on its “whacky” and upbeat role in marketing this ghost-busting adventure

Kaali Teri Gutt” is a high-octane “Funkjabi” track from the 2022 film Phone Bhoot, serving as a modern recreation of the legendary Punjabi folk classic by Asa Singh Mastana. Produced and composed by Roy under the supervision of Ankur Tewari, the song features a vibrant fusion of traditional Punjabi instruments—including the tumbidholak, and dhol—with contemporary funk elements like slap bass, heavy snares, and rhythmic electronic drops. The track is primarily rendered by the energetic voices of Romy and Sakshi Holkar, whose powerhouse delivery maintains the song’s festive and “groovy” spirit while Kumaar’s updated lyrics add a fresh urban layer.
